2012–2013 Buick Regal vehicles originally sold or ever registered in areas of heavy road salt usage (Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador) are affected. The protective coating on the rear suspension toe links may chip, allowing rust and possible breakage that can affect vehicle stability and cause loss of control; General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear suspension toe links and adjuster fasteners.
