CanadaGrand Design RV is recalling 2021–2024 SOLITUDE and 2021–2024 MOMENTUM fifth wheel trailers. The U-bolts that attach the axles to the suspension may not have been properly tightened, allowing an axle to slide back on the leaf spring, which can cause poor handling and loss of control. Grand Design will notify owners by mail; corrective actions are under development, and trailers repaired under earlier related recalls also require this repair.

The hazard
On certain RV trailers, the U-bolts that attach the axles to the suspension may not have been properly tightened. As a result, an axle could slide back on the leaf spring. This could cause poor handling and lead to a loss of control.
Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall nos. 2023-395 and 2024-164. RV trailers that were repaired under those recalls also require this repair.
A loss of control could create the risk of a crash.
What to do
Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
