How to identify it
2024.0 | LAND ROVER | DEFENDER
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the second-row seat belt(s) may not have been stitched properly. As a result, the seat belt(s) may not hold a person in place during a crash. Additionally, the seat belt(s) may not properly secure a child seat.
Note: The vehicle's lower universal anchorage system (UAS) is not affected by this defect and may still be used to secure a child seat.
A seat belt that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
What to do
Land Rover will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the second-row seat belt(s).
