2026–2027 Mack ANTHEM and PIONEER trucks are affected; they can be identified by model and model years 2026–2027. The rear brake modulator connector(s) may lack proper wiring protection, which could short circuit and cause a loss of antilock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC), increasing crash risk. Mack will notify owners by mail and advise taking the truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear brake modulator(s); the dealer will also install a cover on the connector(s).
