Certain 2026–2027 Mack PIONEER and 2027 Mack ANTHEM medium and heavy‑duty trucks are affected. A software problem could cause trailer turn signal lights not to work when towing and will display an error message on the instrument panel; non‑working turn signals may increase the risk of a crash. Mack advises owners to test the trailer turn signals before driving until repairs are completed, and says it will notify owners by mail and advise taking the truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

The hazard
On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the trailer turn signal lights not to work when towing.
Note: This problem would cause an error message to display on the instrument panel.
Turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes and could increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
To reduce the safety risk, Mack advises you to test the trailer turn signals before driving, until the recall repairs are completed. Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
