CanadaCertain 2022–2025 Micro Bird G5 and 2022–2023 Micro Bird MBII school buses equipped with a Spheros ceiling-mounted air conditioning system are affected; you can recognise them by model and year. The power cable for the air conditioning control board may not have been tightened properly, which could allow the cable to loosen and overheat and create a fire hazard. Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise taking the bus to a dealership to have the air conditioning control board power cable secured.

The hazard
On certain school buses, the power cable for the air conditioning control board may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the cable could loosen and overheat.
Note: This recall only affects certain school buses equipped with a Spheros ceiling-mounted air conditioning system.
Wiring that overheats could create the risk of a fire.
What to do
Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to secure the air conditioning control board power cable.
