PNW Components Loam Pedal Gen 2 aluminum alloy platform (non-clip) mountain bike pedals are affected; they were sold in Canada July–November 2025 in silver, black, orange, purple and green and can be identified by a “Tectonic” logo laser-etched on the pedal body at the left corner on the same side as the threaded axle. The pedals were recalled because the pedal axles can crack and cause the pedal to detach from the crank arm, posing a fall hazard, and consumers should stop using the pedal and contact PNW Components, Inc. for instructions to receive a free replacement pedal axle when available (email info@pnwcomponents.com or visit the company website).
