Sea-Doo Switch personal watercraft models 2022–2026 are affected; identify yours by the model name Sea‑Doo Switch and the listed model years. They were recalled because improper passenger and cargo placement can overload the front of the watercraft, causing instability, nosediving and possible capsize, a risk that can worsen if water does not drain properly from inside the hull. BRP will notify owners by mail; owners should contact their dealer to have the required recall repair completed, and BRP will perform the work free of charge.

The hazard
Improper passenger and cargo placement can overload the front of the watercraft, causing instability, nosediving and possible capsize. The situation can get worse if water doesn’t drain properly from inside the hull.
BRP will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your boat to a dealership to have the required recall repair work done. BRP will complete the recall work and owners will not be charged for parts and labour.
What to do
Contact your dealer so that they can complete the recall.
If you choose to use your Sea-Doo Switch before the recall repair is made, you need to know the boat may be more sensitive to front overload as the water may not drain as intended under specific conditions.
Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) recommends the following additional safety measures:
Before every ride, everyone onboard should:
Read and understand the instructions on the correct distribution of passenger and cargo weight to prevent front overloading;
Understand the new warning label; and
Watch the safety video
