What's being recalled

The wire gate on certain SIMOND climbing quickdraws sold from January 1, 2022, through July 22, 2026, may have a defective riveted connection. This assembly defect may cause the wire gate to break, creating a risk that the quickdraw could fail during a fall and posing a serious fall and injury hazard. To determine whether your product is affected by this defect, please refer to the inspection instructions available at: https://simondrecallquickdraw.fandi.fr How to Inspect the Product 1.Check both sides of the wire gate to ensure that the wire remains securely attached to the quickdraw. 2.Hold the quickdraw firmly with one hand. Place your thumb between the two wires, with your thumb positioned close to the riveted connection. As shown in the inspection instructions, apply firm downward pressure to the wire gate. 3.Turn the quickdraw over and repeat the same inspection on the opposite side of the wire gate. If the product passes the inspection and is not affected by the defect, consumers may continue to use it. If the inspection indicates that the product is affected by the defect, immediately stop using the product and return it to any Decathlon store for a refund.
