Springs Cellular Shades by Springs Window Fashions — various made-to-order cellular shades — are identified by a label on the top of the headrail showing a model number (BC23, GC23, SC19 or SSC23), the manufacturer “SWF Middleton, WI US C,” and a manufacture date in YYYY/MM/DD or YY/MM/DD format. They were recalled because end caps on the bottom rail may not be glued and can release small parts that pose a choking hazard; stop using the shades and contact Springs if the end caps are not securely glued (if glued, no action is required).

Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. For more information on the hazard, see Blind Cord Safety.
As of May 19, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
