The recall covers STIHL BR 800 Backpack Blowers — BR 800 C‑E Z Magnum (serials 546814154–547451772) and BR 800 X‑Z Magnum (serials 546911615–547689841); inspected or reworked units will have a black dot next to the serial number and units with that mark do not need to be returned. They were recalled because a possible fan wheel molding defect could cause the fan wheel to fracture during operation, posing a laceration hazard. Consumers should immediately stop using affected units and return them to their preferred servicing STIHL dealer for inspection and replacement if necessary.

The hazard
STIHL Limited has issued a product safety recall for BR800 C-E Z and BR 800 X-Z backpack Blower models due to a possible fan wheel molding defect that could result in the fracture of the fan wheel during operation of the blower.
As of December 17, 2025, the company has received no reports of injury in Canada.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using any STIHL BR 800 Backpack Blower affected by this recall and return it to their preferred servicing STIHL dealer for inspection (and replacement, if necessary) of the fan wheel.
