2025–2026 Suzuki DR‑Z400S motorcycles in Canada are affected; identify them by the Suzuki DR‑Z400S model and the 2025–2026 model years. The rear brake reservoir cap screws may not have been tightened properly, which can allow the screws to loosen and cause brake fluid to leak from the rear brake master cylinder reservoir, reducing braking and increasing crash risk. Suzuki will notify owners by mail and advise taking the motorcycle to a dealership to have the rear brake reservoir cap screws tightened.
How to identify it
2025–2026 Suzuki DR-Z400S
The hazard
On certain motorcycles, the rear brake reservoir cap screws may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the screws could loosen and cause brake fluid to leak from the rear brake master cylinder reservoir. This could cause reduced braking.
Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
Suzuki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to tighten the rear brake reservoir cap screws.
