2026 Tiffin WAYFARER motorhomes by TIFFIN are affected. The propane tank may not have been installed correctly — no remote shut-off valve was installed and the tank may not be properly secured, which could allow it to detach and increase the risk of fire, explosion, road hazard or crash. Tiffin will notify owners by mail and advise taking the motorhome to a dealership to install a remote shut-off for the propane tank and replace the bracket.
How to identify it
2026 Tiffin WAYFARER
The hazard
On a small number of motorhomes, the propane tank may not have been installed correctly. As a result, no remote shut-off valve was installed, and the tank may not be properly secured. If the tank were to become loose, it could detach.
If there is a propane leak and there is no remote shut-off valve, there could be an increased risk of a fire or explosion. Additionally, a propane tank that detaches from the motorhome could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
Tiffin will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to install a remote shut off for the propane tank and replace the bracket.
