The motor generator ECU may not correctly complete the motor initialization process, which can make the high-speed motor control mode unavailable. At higher speeds, this may cause the plug-in-hybrid system to enter fail-safe mode or shut down, resulting in a loss of motive power and increasing the risk of an accident.
