Certain 2021–2026 Honda Odyssey and 2021–2025 Honda Sienna, Chrysler Pacifica and other minivans converted for wheelchair access by Vantage Mobility International are affected when fitted with Q’Straint QRT-DELUXE or QRT-MAX retractors part number Q8-6200 or Q8-6209. The retractors may not lock automatically, so the wheelchair may not be secured and could move in a crash. Vantage Mobility recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured by attempting to move it before driving until repairs are completed and will notify owners by mail to have the retractors inspected and, if necessary, replaced at a Vantage Mobility service centre.

The hazard
On certain vehicles converted for wheelchair access by Vantage Mobility, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash.
Note: This recall only affects certain Q'Straint QRT-DELUXE and QRT-MAX wheelchair retractors with the part number Q8-6200 or Q8-6209.
A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury.
What to do
To reduce the safety risk, Vantage Mobility recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured properly by attempting to move it before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. Vantage Mobility will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Vantage Mobility service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheelchair retractor(s).
