Vivohome adult portable bed rails (wooden color with four metallic stand bars), model VH1316CA-WC, production code 20230801001, sold in Canada from May 2024 to October 2024 (53 units) are affected. They were recalled because users can become entrapped within the rail or between the rail and the mattress, posing an entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled rails, contact Vivohome for a refund, write “RECALLED” on the rails with a permanent marker and dispose of them according to municipal waste guidelines.

How to identify it
This recall involves Vivohome adult portable bed rails sold to assist the elderly in getting up and going to bed. The recalled bed rails come in a wooden color and have four metallic stand bars with model VH1316CA-WC printed on the packaging and the product registration card. The production code is 20230801001.
The hazard
When the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. This can pose an entrapment hazard and a risk of death by asphyxiation.
As of December 10, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact Vivohome for a refund. Consumers should write “RECALLED” on the rails with a permanent marker and then dispose of the recalled product in accordance with municipal waste guidelines.
