CanadaCertain 2019–2024 Audi E‑TRON models (including 2020–2024 Sportback and SUV) and 2024 Audi Q8 E‑TRON and SQ8 E‑TRON SUVs in Canada are affected. The brake booster input rod may not have been tightened properly and could detach, causing a loss of brakes and increasing the risk of a crash. Audi will notify owners by mail and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the brake booster input rod screw joint.

The hazard
On certain vehicles, the brake booster input rod may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the input rod could detach from the brake booster and cause a loss of brakes.
Note: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2024-670. For 2020-2024 model years, this recall affects both Sportback and SUV models.
A loss of brakes can increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the brake booster input rod screw joint.
