2025–2026 Volkswagen TAOS SUVs are affected; they can be identified by the model and model years 2025–2026. The wiring harness to the fuel pressure sensor may be too short, allowing the sensor to dislodge or separate from the fuel tank in a rear crash and cause a fuel leak that can create a fire risk. Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership to install an extension for the fuel pressure sensor wiring harness.
