2025–2027 Volvo VNL and 2027 Volvo VNR medium and heavy trucks (VOLVO) are affected. On some trucks the connector(s) for the rear brake modulator(s) may lack proper wiring protection, which can short circuit and cause loss of antilock braking (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC), increasing crash risk. Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advises taking the truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear brake modulator(s); the dealer will also install a cover on the connector(s).
