Certain 2026–2027 Volvo VHD, VN and VNL trucks and 2027 Volvo VNR trucks are affected; these are heavy-duty Volvo trucks listed by model and model year. The recall was issued because wheel nut(s) could loosen and cause wheel(s) to detach, which can cause loss of control or create a road hazard. The hazard

On certain trucks, the wheel nut(s) could loosen and cause the wheel(s) to detach.

A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a wheel that separates could create a road hazard for others.

What to do

To reduce the safety risk, Volvo Trucks advises you not to drive your truck until the recall repairs have been completed. Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a dealership to arrange for an inspection of the wheels and hubs. Any damaged parts will be replaced.
