A countdown for the whole year
Watch the days, hours, minutes and seconds tick down any day of the year. Choose your own time zone or join a city around the world. The countdown targets January 1 at midnight in that zone, then starts counting toward the following year after the celebration. Share the link to invite friends to the same countdown.
Made for the big moment
The final ten seconds get their own spotlight, followed by a Happy New Year message and a burst of confetti. Party view fills the screen. Reduced-motion preferences turn off animation by default, and sound is always opt-in.

How it works
The countdown targets January 1 at midnight in your selected time zone. Time-zone offsets come from your browser. The final ten seconds get a spotlight, followed by confetti and an optional chime. The shared link keeps your selected zone.
Notes
The countdown follows your device clock. Keep the tab open and enable sound for the midnight chime. Sleeping devices may delay effects. Reduced-motion preferences disable animation, and sound starts off.
