Calendar days are counted from the start date up to the end date, so the start is included and the end isn't unless you tick “Include the end date”. The same span is also shown as weeks and days, and as whole calendar months and days.
The start date is counted and the end date isn't, which is how “days until” is usually counted: Monday to Tuesday is one day. Tick “Include the end date” to count both, for the length of a stay or a leave.
In whole calendar months from the start date, then the days left over. January 15 to March 15 is 2 months, whatever the month lengths, and a month from the 31st ends on the last day of a shorter month.
Yes. If the start date is later, the two are swapped and counted forwards, and the result says the dates were reordered.
Six date and time calculators in one place: compare dates, count business days, add or subtract dates, calculate age, build a work-hours timesheet and convert decimal hours. Everything runs locally in your browser.
Choose a calculator, enter your dates or times, and see results immediately. Business-day calculations support custom weekdays, regional holiday presets, observed dates and extra days off. Timesheets support overnight shifts, unpaid breaks, rounding and CSV exports.
Holiday calendars are planning estimates. Workplace holiday and substitution rules can differ. Date-only calculations use calendar days without daylight-saving shifts; work hours are clock hours without time-zone adjustments.
Added holidays for every Canadian province and territory.
