Certain Altec aerial devices and digger derricks—including 2024–2025 Altec AT series and 2025 Altec D3000, AM series and AN series—equipped with cable entry steps are affected. The cable step wire ropes can fail, allowing the cable to detach and potentially cause a person to fall, creating a risk of injury. Owners should check that cable entry steps are properly secured until recall repairs are completed; Altec will notify owners by mail and advise contacting Altec Service to inspect and, if necessary, replace the entry steps.
