The 2026 Hyundai TUCSON SUV, including hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, is affected. Certain vehicles’ side-impact sensors may not have been manufactured properly, which can cause the driver-front and passenger-front airbags to not work properly in a crash and could increase the risk of injury. Hyundai will notify owners in writing and advise taking the vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the side-impact sensors.
