Canada2025–2027 Isuzu NRR‑EV, 2025–2027 Isuzu NPR‑XD, 2025–2027 Isuzu NPR‑HD and 2025 Isuzu NRR medium and heavy‑duty trucks are affected. The chassis and cab wiring harnesses may have been routed improperly and can be damaged by nearby components, causing short circuits that can lead to loss of power to the wheels, electrical failures, a possible fire, or increased crash risk. Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise taking the truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace and secure the wiring harnesses.

The hazard
On certain trucks, the chassis and cab wiring harnesses may not have been routed properly. As result, the wiring could become damaged by contact with nearby components and cause a short circuit. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels, the electronic parking brake could stop working, the tail lamps may not work, the airbag warning light may turn on, transmission shifting issues could occur, or the combination switch may not work.
Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2026-158. Trucks that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.
A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. A loss of power to the wheels and the other issues could increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the wiring harnesses. The dealer will also ensure that the wiring harnesses are secured properly.
