2018–2026 Isuzu FTR and 2022–2026 Isuzu FVR medium and heavy trucks are affected; identify by model and model year. They were recalled because the front stabilizer bar brackets may not have been manufactured properly and could break, allowing the stabilizer bar to detach and creating a hazard. Isuzu advises owners to inspect the front stabilizer bar before driving until recall repairs are completed; owners will be notified by mail and asked to take their truck to a dealership for removal or replacement of the stabilizer bar, brackets, leaf spring assemblies and/or stabilizer plates as necessary.
How to identify it
2018–2026 Isuzu FTR
2022–2026 Isuzu FVR
The hazard
On certain trucks, the front stabilizer bar brackets may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the bracket(s) could break and the stabilizer bar could detach from the truck.
Parts that detach from the truck could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
To reduce the safety risk, Isuzu advises you to inspect the front stabilizer bar before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to remove or replace the stabilizer bar, stabilizer bar brackets, leaf spring assemblies and/or stabilizer plates, as necessary.
