2022–2026 Lucid AIR vehicles are affected. The circuits for the exterior lighting may lack proper circuit protection, which can cause wiring or components to overheat and melt and can make exterior lights stop working, creating a risk of fire or a crash. Lucid advises parking outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until repairs are completed; Lucid has sent an over‑the‑air software update that owners should accept (contact Lucid customer care or a Lucid service center for help) and will notify owners by mail; no further action is needed if your vehicle has software version 2.10.0 or later.
How to identify it
2022–2026 Lucid AIR
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the circuits for the exterior lighting may not have proper circuit protection. As a result, the wiring and components could overheat and melt, and the exterior lights may not work.
Wiring and/or components that overheat and melt can create the risk of a fire. Exterior lights that don't work could increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
To reduce the safety risk, Lucid advises that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. Lucid will notify owners by mail. Lucid has sent a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle. If you haven't yet accepted the software update, Lucid encourages you to do so. If you need assistance with this update, you should contact Lucid customer care or a Lucid service center. There is no further action needed if your vehicle has software version 2.10.0 or a later release.
