The hazard
On certain trucks, the webbing for the bunk restraints may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, it could fail and not hold a person in place during a crash.
Bunk restraints that don't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
What to do
To reduce the safety risk, PACCAR advises not to use the bunk restraints until the recall repairs are completed. PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace bunk restraints.
