2026 Peterbilt 567 recall: brakes

2026 Peterbilt 567 trucks are affected; the air brake system reservoir tank is too small, which can be identified by the model/year (2026 Peterbilt 567). The trucks were recalled because the undersized reservoir can cause reduced braking and extended stopping distances. PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise taking the truck to a dealership to replace or add an additional air reservoir tank, as necessary.

How to identify it

2026 Peterbilt 567

The hazard

On one truck, the reservoir tank for the air brake system is too small. In certain situations, this could cause reduced braking. Canadian regulations require enough air reservoir capacity to ensure the brakes work even with heavy use or when there is a partial loss of the air system.

Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

PACCAR will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take your truck to a dealership to replace or add an additional air reservoir tank, as necessary.
