2022–2025 Rivian R1T and R1S recall: suspension

2022–2025 Rivian R1T and R1S SUVs are affected; owners can recognise them by the model names and model years. The rear suspension toe link(s) may not have been properly reinstalled after service, which could allow the toe link(s) to become loose or separate and reduce vehicle stability, increasing the risk of loss of control and a crash. Rivian will notify owners by email and advise taking the vehicle to a Rivian service centre to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear suspension toe link bolt(s).

The hazard

On certain vehicles, the rear suspension toe link(s) may not have been properly reinstalled after service. As a result, the toe link(s) could become loose or separate. If this happens, there could be reduced vehicle stability.

Reduced vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Rivian will notify owners by email and advise you to take your vehicle to a Rivian service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear suspension toe link bolt(s).
