2025–2026 Thor Motor Coach ECHELON, FOUR WINDS and CHATEAU motorhomes are affected because the generator’s propane (LP) hose may not have been installed properly and could contact the exhaust and melt. A melted propane hose can create a fire risk; Thor Motor Coach advises you not to use the generator until recall repairs are completed, or if you must, inspect for hoses or wiring contacting the exhaust before each use; owners will be notified by mail to take the motorhome to a dealership to secure the hose, install a heat shield and replace any damaged parts.

The hazard
On certain motorhomes, the propane (LP) hose for the generator may not have been installed properly. As a result, the hose could contact the generator's exhaust and melt.
A propane hose that melts can create the risk of a fire.
What to do
To reduce the safety risk, Thor Motor Coach advises you not to use the generator until the recall repairs have been completed. If you need to use the generator, Thor Motor Coach recommends that you inspect it for hoses or wiring harnesses contacting the exhaust every time before use. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to secure the propane hose and install a heat shield. Any damaged parts will be replaced.
