Certain 2021–2025 Jeep GLADIATOR and WRANGLER SUVs are affected; these are 2021–2025 model year vehicles from the Jeep brand. The electric hydraulic power steering pump (EHPSP) connection can become loose and may overheat and melt, creating a fire risk even when the vehicle is parked and turned off. FCA recommends parking the vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until repairs are completed; FCA Canada will notify owners to take their vehicle to a dealership for inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the EHPSP and wiring.
How to identify it

2021–2025 Jeep WRANGLER
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the connection for the electric hydraulic power steering pump (EHPSP) could become loose. If this happens, the EHPSP connection could overheat and melt.
Wiring that overheats and melts can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.
What to do
To reduce the safety risk, FCA recommends that you should park your vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until the recall repairs are completed. FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the EHPSP and the wiring.
