2026–2027 Cadillac VISTIQ recall: seats and restraints

2026–2027 Cadillac VISTIQ SUVs are affected; the defect involves the third‑row power folding seats. The seats may not automatically reverse when an obstruction is detected, which could trap occupants or objects and increase the risk of injury. General Motors will notify owners by mail; dealers will temporarily disable the third‑row power folding function and later replace the third‑row seat module when parts are available.

The hazard

Issue:

On certain vehicles, when using the power folding function, the third-row seats may not automatically reverse if an obstruction is detected. As a result, occupants or objects could become trapped between the seat and the seatback.

Safety Risk:

A folding seatback that doesn't reverse could increase the risk of injury.

Corrective actions:

General Motors will notify owners by mail. As an interim repair, a dealer will disable the third-row power folding function. Once replacement parts are available, General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the third-row seat module.
