General Motors SUV recall: structure (Transport Canada 2026459)

How to identify it

2025.0 | CADILLAC | OPTIQ, 2026.0 | CADILLAC | OPTIQ, 2027.0 | CADILLAC | OPTIQ

The hazard

When using the key fob "express-up" feature to close the front power windows, a software problem could cause the window's automatic reversal system not to work. If this happens, a window may not stop and retract after detecting an object.

A window that doesn't stop and automatically reverse could create a risk of injury.

What to do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the body control module software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a GM dealership.
