How to remove the location from a photo before sharing it
Check whether a photo gives away where it was taken, then strip the location or all hidden details without changing how the picture looks.
Photos can carry hidden details: where they were taken, when, and on which phone. Remove them before you share or post a picture. For JPG, PNG and WebP the image itself isn’t re-compressed, so the quality is untouched.

You can also paste an image with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac).
Your images stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Most online image tools upload your pictures to their servers. This one doesn’t: Remove EXIF Data runs entirely in your browser, so family photos, IDs, screenshots and client work never leave your device. It’s free, with no watermark and no limit on how many images you process, and you don’t need an account.
EXIF is information a camera or phone stores inside a photo: the date and time, the camera and lens, the exposure settings and, if location services were on, the GPS position where it was taken.
The big ones strip it from the copies other people see, but messaging apps sending original-quality photos, email, cloud links and file transfers usually keep everything. Removing it yourself is the only sure way.
No. For JPG, PNG and WebP the metadata is cut out without re-compressing the image. A photo stored sideways with a “this way up” note keeps that one note so it still appears upright, and colour profiles are kept so the colours don't shift.
HEIC photos are saved as JPGs with no metadata, since that's the most reliable way to clean them and JPGs open everywhere.
No. Every tool runs in your web browser, so your images are read, changed and saved on your own device and never sent to LabAnvil or anyone else. Once the page has loaded, the tools even work offline.
Free, with no watermark, no daily limit, no account and no cap on file size beyond what your device's memory can handle.
