How to split PDF

Questions
How do I write page ranges?
Separate ranges with commas: “1-3, 4, 7-10” makes three PDFs. Each range becomes its own file, and a range can repeat pages from another one.
Why do I get a ZIP file?
When a split makes more than one PDF they're bundled into a single ZIP so you only download once. Every computer and phone can open ZIP files.
I only want some pages in one new PDF. Is this the right tool?

Are my files uploaded?
