Isometric Graph Paper
Lines at 30°, 90° and 150° divide the page into equilateral triangles, so boxes drawn along them look three-dimensional. Choose the triangle size, lines or dots, and the paper size.

How to print isometric graph paper
- Choose the triangle size: the length of each side.
- Pick lines, or dots for drawings you’ll ink over and want to look clean.
- Download the PDF and print it at 100%.
What’s on the page
The grid is made of equilateral triangles: vertical lines are the side length × √3/2 apart, and sloping lines run at 30° to the horizontal through every grid point. Whole columns are centred between your margins.
Questions
What is isometric paper used for?
Drawing 3D objects without perspective: technical sketches, furniture and building ideas, LEGO and Minecraft plans, game maps and geometric art. Equal lengths along each of the three axes stay equal on paper.
What does the size mean?
It’s the length of each triangle’s side, which is also the distance between dots along a vertical line. The vertical lines are that size × 0.866 apart.
Lines or dots?
Lines make it easy to count and trace. Dots keep the finished drawing clean, because they disappear into the background once you’ve inked over them.
How do I print it at the right size?
Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, and load the same paper size as the PDF. Then a 1/4 inch square measures exactly 1/4 inch.
Is it free?
Yes. Every paper is free to make, download and print as often as you like, with no account and no watermark.
