JSON to CSV

Paste an array of objects and get one row per object and one column per key. Nested objects are flattened into columns like address.city, so the file opens cleanly in Excel or Google Sheets.

Loading JSON to CSV…

Runs on your device. Nothing you paste is uploaded.

How to use the JSON to CSV

  1. Paste your JSON, or drop a .json file onto the box.
  2. Pick a delimiter: comma, semicolon or tab.
  3. Check the preview, then copy the CSV or download it as a .csv file.

Private by design

Plenty of online tools send what you paste to their server, which is a real risk with API keys, tokens and customer data. JSON to CSV runs entirely in your browser: nothing is uploaded, logged or stored, and it keeps working with your network switched off. It’s free, with no account and no limits.

Questions

What shape does the JSON need to be?

An array of objects, like [{"name": "Ada"}, {"name": "Alan"}]. A single object becomes one row, and if the array sits inside another object, such as {"data": [...]}, the converter finds the first array of objects for you.

How are nested objects and arrays handled?

Nested objects become dotted column names (user.address.city). Lists of plain values are joined with a semicolon, and lists of objects are written into their cell as JSON text.

Why does my CSV open in a single column in Excel?

Where decimals are written with a comma, Excel expects semicolons between columns. Choose the semicolon delimiter and download again.

Why do accented letters look wrong in Excel?

Excel guesses the text encoding of CSV files. The download starts with a byte order mark so Excel reads it as UTF-8; untick “Excel-friendly” if another program complains about it.

Is anything I paste sent to a server?

No. Every tool runs in your browser, so tokens, keys, customer data and code stay on your device. Once the page has loaded, the tools work offline too.

Do I need an account?

No. Every developer tool is free to use without signing in, with no limits.
